This is a couture gown from Kenneth Pool, original $10,900. The gown has a tight-fitted tulle bodice with boning and a double zipper in the back, and a low dropped waist. The skirt features layers of seamed tulle and clear paillettes that shimmer in the light like petals or leaves. The petals have light sequins that sparkle.
It was altered and worn for my garden wedding. I received many compliments on how beautiful and unique it was. Because of the garden setting, the bottom has some wear and dirt. This would be ideal for someone shorter than me (I'm 5'8" plus heels, so 5’ 11”), because you would just have that trimmed off the bottom. There is also one area where a small plastic lining has broken through on the corset top, but it can be fixed in alterations. I didn't have it cleaned - honestly, it I were you, I'd just wear it as is and not risk damage to the hand-sewn "leaves."
I made approximate guesses on the measurements. I am 34 bust, 28 waist, 38 hips so it was altered to about that. I wear size 6 normally. I am 5'8" and wore 3 inch heels, so I never had the dress trimmed in length.
It is a truly gorgeous gown perfect for a vintage, romantic wedding. I’ve decided that I don’t want to keep it, but I really want it to go to someone who will love it as I did. More images available upon request.
