Never worn NEW UNALTERED gown. This dress is stunning and would look great on a taller gal! I wore another dress because my seamstress (who has a full time job) had an emergency come up on the days my dress was to be altered (two weeks before the wedding)! I really wanted this dress to work, it is so original and gorgeous. My mom helped me pay way over my budget for it, and I'm sad to be giving it away but hope it can make you happy!
The dress is super soft to the touch and is a perfect color of white/natural. Meaning its not glowing neon or looking ivory or yellow. The beading is lighter than expected. Inside has great built in support to hold you in place, and a great lining that is cool, yet not see through for how light the fabric is.
Sizing is always difficult to describe but here is how it was for my size:
Bust 34 needed cups taken in or shoulders taken in to fit more snug. Waist 28 fit snug just right Hips 38 good in the hips with room. If you are shorter you may want to take the skirt in at the sides to give more of the straight/mermaid look. My seamstress said it would lay more like in the picture after the hem was done also. (I'm 5'4)
